Tri-Cities Scene Joins Weekly Lineup of Johnson City Press, Kingsport Times News
We are excited to announce the inclusion of Tri-Cities Scene as a new weekly section of Johnson City Press and Kingsport Times News. Tri-Cities Scene, Six Rivers Media’s weekly entertainment guide, has been delivering features and event information in print weekly and online each day. With this new change, readers can now find it in the D section of each Thursday edition of both the Johnson City Press and the Kingsport Times News starting from May 23, 2024.
A New Format for Enhanced Audience Experience
While Tri-Cities Scene was previously designed as a tabloid, the shift to a broadsheet format allows it to blend in seamlessly with the rest of the newspaper. The change in format will offer a more flexible deadline, thus ensuring timely and fresh content for our readers. The transition was implemented while keeping audience convenience in mind and aims to enhance accessibility and readability for our faithful readers.
Retaining the Quality, Adding More Quantum
While the look of Tri-City Scene may have changed, its core remains the same. The section will continue to feature in-depth stories on local artists and musicians and spotlight festivals and events. The full-page calendar listing of local events, a popular part of the section, remains untouched, still providing a comprehensive glimpse of happenings around the Tri-Cities and beyond.
A Seamless Online Experience
Events can still be added online for free at any time, providing a seamless interface for users to promote their local events. To add an event, simply go to any Six Rivers Media website, click on “events,” and choose “create an event.”
