Hey there, Bristol residents! If you love our beautiful Steele Creek Park and want to keep it looking its best, mark your calendars for April 26, 2025! This is the day when Trash Bash rolls into town, and you won’t want to miss it.
Trash Bash is all about coming together as a community to tidy up our precious park. Organized by the fantastic Friends of Steele Creek Nature Center and Park, volunteers from all around will gather to help pick up litter and ensure that Steele Creek Park continues to be a lovely place for everyone.
The event will kick off at 9 a.m. and run until noon, where participants will gather at, you guessed it, beautiful Steele Creek Park. And don’t worry about a little rain—this event will go on rain or shine! The only time we’ll call it off is if there’s thunder or lightning, so fingers crossed for nice weather!
Thinking about joining in? Great choice! Cleanup activities will involve plenty of volunteer work as folks venture around the park, picking up litter and keeping our environment clean. It’s a win-win: you help nature, and you get some fresh air and exercise!
As a participant, you won’t need to bring much. The organizers have got it covered! You’ll be provided with trash bags, disposable gloves, and all the necessary materials to help make this cleanup a success. It’s that simple!
Let’s face it: nothing fuels hard work like a snack! During the event, light snacks will be available for everyone, while supplies last. Plus, volunteers will be rewarded with fun gifts to take home as a thank-you for giving back to the community. Who doesn’t love a little surprise?
So get the word out to your friends, family, and neighbors! The more, the merrier, and the more litter we can collect! Bringing along your kids and/or furry friends can make it even more enjoyable. Just remember to dress comfortably and come prepared to get your hands a little dirty—and leaving with some serious bragging rights about helping clean up your community.
