Toyota of Bristol and Toyota North America Donate $30,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank

BRISTOL – Toyota of Bristol, in partnership with Toyota North America, has made a generous donation of $30,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, reaffirming their ongoing commitment towards community engagement and social responsibility.

Generous Contributions amid Challenging Times

Given the ongoing economic challenges many families are facing, this substantial financial gift amplifies the efforts of the food bank to ensure the provision of nutritious food to those in need. This is the second consecutive year Toyota of Bristol has sponsored the SHFBNETN Golf Classic and signature events, The Farmer & Chef.

Moreover, the dealership’s endorsement for a corporate match from Toyota North America ended up successfully nominating SHFBETN, which resulted in this significant donation. Both Toyota of Bristol and Toyota North America’s contribution is a reflection of their shared vision towards a hunger-free Northeast Tennessee. “It’s not just a donation; it’s an investment in the health and well-being of our neighbors and the future of our community”, shared Bunky Gandy, the manager of Toyota of Bristol.

The Power of Community Support

Toyota of Bristol’s alliance with Second Harvest Food Bank is a testament to their belief in the impact of community support and corporate giving on local initiatives. According to their statement, ” 96% of every dollar donated goes directly back into the community. It’s an incredibly fulfilling feeling.”

This act has prompted the food bank to urge other local businesses to contribute similarly in the battle against food insecurity in their communities. With collective efforts, the goal to end hunger in Northeast Tennessee can be actualized.

An Investment towards a Hunger-free Community

Rhonda Chafin, an official from SHFBETN, appreciates the support received from Toyota of Bristol. “They are an invested and dedicated partner in our fight to end hunger in Northeast, TN. We especially appreciate Mr. Gandy’s outstanding investment in our community,” said Chafin.
