Hey there, Kingsport! Get ready for a fun-filled evening as the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department brings you an inclusive talent show and show & tell event just for kids! This exciting gathering is happening this Saturday at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex, and it’s absolutely free for all young talents aged 5 and up!
Mark your calendars! The event kicks off from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. It promises to be an engaging event that will showcase the incredible abilities of our local youth. Whether your child has a hidden talent or a beloved item they want to share, this is the perfect chance to shine!
This talent show is part of a larger initiative called A.S.P.I.R.E. (Adaptive Sports Programs Inclusive Recreation Experiences). It’s a heartfelt program designed specifically for community members with disabilities or physical limitations, ensuring everyone gets a fair shot to compete and enjoy in a supportive environment. This event truly highlights the spirit of inclusivity!
According to the Program Coordinator Renee Ensor, this show is a wonderful opportunity for kids to flaunt their skills. “We have many people in our A.S.P.I.R.E. program who can dance and sing, play a musical instrument, or play sports,” Ensor explained. “This event is aimed at them, to let them show off their amazing talents. It should be an enjoyable evening, filled with some great performances.”
So, whether your child has been practicing their dance moves, singing their favorite song, or has a special object they cherish and want to discuss, encourage them to join in! This inclusive environment is all about celebrating what makes each individual unique. Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate and take center stage!
Now, even though the event is free, the department kindly asks parents to register their children on the CivicRec website. This helps them gauge how many enthusiastic participants and supporters will be there. It’s super easy! Just hop onto KingsportTN.gov, click on the CivicRec link, and search for “talent show.” It’ll take just a few moments!
If you’re curious and want to know more about what else is offered through the Parks and Recreation Department or the A.S.P.I.R.E. program, be sure to check out KingsportParksandRecreation.org. They have a wonderful variety of activities designed to make every community member feel involved and valued.
So, gather your friends and family, bring your cheerleading spirit, and get set for an uplifting evening in Kingsport! It’s not just about the performances; it’s about coming together as a community to support our kids and celebrate their talents. We can’t wait to see what our local stars will bring to the stage!
Remember, Saturday is the night, V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex is the place, and fun is guaranteed. Let’s make it a night to remember for our talented youngsters!
