For those who may not be familiar, the Songwriters Circle Showcase is part of a broader effort to bring attention to original music. Recently, the Tennessee Songwriters Week wrapped up its qualifying rounds, featuring over 1,200 talented songwriters who took the stage at nearly 50 venues across the state. These events are essential for songwriters looking to make their mark in the music industry. The ultimate reward? A chance to perform at the legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, which is a dream come true for many aspiring musicians.
It’s worth noting that since the launch of the Tennessee Songwriters Week in 2019, an impressive 4,000 songwriters have showcased their original works throughout the state. Just recently, Caleb Lovely, a winner from the showcase in Chattanooga, stole hearts with his captivating song “Triggers.” His achievement is a shining example of the raw talent that flourishes right in our backyard.
Winners will receive fantastic perks, including the chance to perform at the Bluebird Cafe, a commemorative Taylor guitar, a two-night stay in Nashville, a $100 travel gift card, and a one-year membership to the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). What could be more exciting for a budding songwriter?
