Elizabethton is set to light up the night this Saturday with the Second Annual Bike Night hosted by the F.A.I.T.H. Riders Motorcycle Ministry. This is the perfect opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts, families, and everyone in between to gather for a night filled with fun, food, and fellowship!
The event kicks off at 5:30 PM at the First Baptist Church Elizabethton, and trust us—it’s going to be a blast! Attendees can look forward to a free full barbecue meal, which is sure to whet your appetite and set the tone for an evening of excitement. But that’s not all; there will also be a bike competition where you can showcase your prized rides. Whether you have a sleek cruiser or a vintage classic, this is your chance to shine!
If you think the fun stops there, think again! Get ready for a slow ride, an event where everyone can join in, irrespective of riding skill. And what better way to end the evening than with a ride to Dairy Queen in Johnson City for some free dessert? It’s the cherry on top of a delightful evening!
Hold onto your helmets, because the prizes are just as exciting! Everyone in attendance will have a shot at winning a $150 gift certificate to Wrecking Crew Harley-Davidson in Johnson City—a sweet deal for any motorcycle lover. Additionally, there will be numerous door prize drawings, so don’t miss out on your chance to go home with something special!
This local chapter of the F.A.I.T.H. Riders was founded by Larry Byrd, who moved to Elizabethton from Georgia. Since its establishment just over a year ago, the chapter has been growing steadily, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm for both motorcycling and ministry. Byrd is eager for this event to not just be a fun get-together but also a chance for many more people to learn about what F.A.I.T.H. Riders is all about.
The F.A.I.T.H. Riders Motorcycle Ministry traces its roots back to 2002, beginning at the First Baptist Church of the Mall in Lakeland, Florida. Since then, it has expanded to nearly 400 chapters nationwide, including two in Cuba! The ministry welcomes any Southern Baptist church wanting to start a new chapter, proving that community and faith can take many forms.
What sets the F.A.I.T.H. Riders apart is their motto: “No one left behind.” This motto is a call to action for its members to reach out and bring others towards a path of faith. Drawing inspiration from 2 Peter 3:9, the ministry is dedicated to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to know forgiveness and grace.
Do you ride, or are you just passionate about helping others know Christ? You’re welcome too! The ministry encourages all adult Christians who share this mission to join, regardless of whether they ride a motorcycle or not.
The F.A.I.T.H. Riders Motorcycle Ministry meets every month on the second Thursday at 6 PM at First Baptist in Elizabethton, located at 212 East F St.. If you’re looking for a place to connect with fellow riders and community members with shared values, this is it!
For any questions or more information about the upcoming Bike Night, feel free to reach out to the First Baptist Church Elizabethton at 423-543-1931. There’s a vibrant community waiting to welcome you!
So grab your gear, invite your friends, and swing by for a night of fellowship and fun. Elizabethton will be the place to be this Saturday!
