The Throwback Experience

This year, the Speedway is implementing a series of changes designed to take fans on a nostalgia-filled trip down memory lane. The Speedway will be sporting the iconic red and white walls from its 1992 look, a visual element synonymous with the glory days of racing in the region.

And that’s not all – this year also marks the return of NASCAR to its roots. After years of mixed reviews, the giant in car racing will be returning to concrete instead of dirt. This is expected to give the racers an experience similar to the one back in the days, with the organizers looking forward to recreating the much-loved atmosphere of early-nineties car racing.

In line with the overall throwback theme, the logo highlights the time when Food City became the title sponsor for the Bristol Spring race – a landmark moment that took place 33 years ago.
