Latest Arrests in Carter County: A Look at Recent Suspicions

In Elizabethton, the local law enforcement has been busy tackling various incidents leading to multiple arrests. This week, the Carter County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests on a range of charges, showcasing a wide spectrum of encounters within the community. Here’s the rundown of some noteworthy arrests made in the area.

Failure to Appear

On November 14, Deputy Jeffery Winters made an arrest at the Washington County Detention Center. He apprehended David Allen McInturff, who was wanted for failing to show up in a misdemeanor case. With a bond set at $25,000, McInturff was taken to the Carter County Detention Center without any fuss.

Domestic Assault

That same day, Deputy Jerry Dykes responded to a warrant service at 270 C Grindstaff Road, leading to the arrest of Jordan Raylee Elliott for domestic assault. Elliott was promptly taken into custody and also transported to the Carter County Detention Center.

Sex Offender Registration Issues

Later that night at about 11:11 p.m., Sgt. Tyler Holsclaw arrested Harvey L. Rose at a residence on Bristol Highway for violating the Sex Offender Registration Act. No incidents were reported during Rose’s transport to detention.

Traffic Stop Turns Into An Arrest

On November 15, Deputy Jared Shelton found himself making a traffic stop on Carl Smith Road for a vehicle with a couple of inoperable tag lights. The driver, Cory Richard Ferranti, had an active warrant for violating the same registration act. Ferranti was arrested and smoothly taken to the Carter County Detention Center, continuing the trend of a busy day for law enforcement.

Reckless Driving Charges

Another incident on the same day saw Deputy Donovan Bemiller arrest Joshua S. Tipton at a residence on Swimming Pool Road in Hampton. Tipton was wanted for failing to appear on charges related to reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, with a bond also set at $25,000.

Probation Violations

Staying busy, Deputy Hunter Skalecki spotted Christopher Wade Guy Jr. at a local convenience store and apprehended him without trouble for two probation violation warrants.

Serious Domestic Issues

Later that day, Lt. Justin Johnson and team cornered Nicholas D. Hardin in an apartment on Ford Lane for an aggravated domestic assault charge. Hardin was taken into custody and booked into the Carter County Detention Center.

Fugitive from Justice

On November 16, Deputy Dalton McCloud arrested Chelsea Shea Perkins at Laurel Fork Trail Head for being a fugitive wanted in North Carolina due to felony probation violations.

Violation of Protection Orders

Also on the 16th, Deputy Robbie Huskins secured an arrest for Joshua A. Guinn, who violated an order of protection that specifically prohibited alcohol consumption. He was taken to detention without any visible complications.

Driving Under the Influence

On the same day, Deputy Thomas Hill didn’t have an easy night either. He discovered Adrian Garcia passed out at a red light on South Sycamore Street. Garcia faced charges for DUI, open container, and driving without a valid license after a breath test revealed a BAC of .139. He promptly went to the Carter County Detention Center.

Another Domestic Incident

Later that night, Deputy Huskins responded to a call on Norman Joines Road for a domestic assault. This resulted in the arrest of Albert T. Hardy III for aggravated assault after he was accused of choking his wife during an argument. The victim received medical attention, while Hardy was taken into custody.

Public Intoxication

Wrapping up the weekend, on November 17, Deputy Brett Butler arrested Jordan Raylee Elliott again for public intoxication. Elliott was found wandering on Maude Peeks Road, reportedly looking for “space rocks.” He was sent back to the Carter County Detention Center for his antics.
