Publicly traded company, Murphy USA Inc. (NYSE: MUSA), has teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to kickstart the “Great Futures Fueled Here” fundraiser. Specifically, the initiative aims to support the Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County. Beginning from April 3, customers in Elizabethton/Carter County were offered the opportunity to make a monetary contribution to the campaign at checkout at their nearest Murphy USA location.
The funds raised are targeted towards helping the Club in its pursuit of equipping area youngsters with the tools required to secure a prosperous future. This is the fourth consecutive year of the bi-annual round-up fundraiser and has, since its initiation in 2020, raised over $8 million. This fund has been diligently used in supporting children and teenagers at local Boys & Girls Clubs spread across the nation.
Renee Bacon, spokesperson for the company, shared: “With over 1,650 stores spanning 27 states, we’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Our dedication to America’s youth knows no bounds, and we eagerly anticipate working alongside our employees and customers to meet those needs. TOGETHER, we can fuel great futures for local kids.”
Detailed in the campaign, Murphy USA has started to encourage customers to round up their purchase totals or make donations of $1, $5, or $10 at the register. This action will be in effect from April 3 to July 2. Each and every penny raised at each Murphy USA store will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County.
The Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County operates with the noble vision of enabling all young people, particularly those in need, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Focused on providing a quality out-of-school experience, they endorse healthy lifestyles, promote academic success and instill good character and citizenship in each child.
