The historic cities of Bristol, Virginia, and Bristol, Tennessee, are preparing to host a joint awards ceremony. Slated for May 16 at 5:30 PM, this event takes place in recognition of National Preservation Month. The venue chosen for this prestigious event is the Bristol Train Station, located at 101 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Bristol, Virginia.
The Historic Preservation Award Committees from both cities have come together to pay tribute to and celebrate the commendable efforts individuals and organizations have made towards preserving and restoring Bristol’s historic homes and commercial buildings. These buildings, carrying immense historic value, are spread across the cities’ historic districts and the entire cityscape.
The local communities and the public have been cordially invited to grace this occasion and be a part of the awards ceremony. Complementing the evening will be light refreshments for all attendees. While this year’s awards have already been slated, nominations for the next year’s awards, i.e., the 2025 awards, are now being accepted.
Individuals and organizations who wish to nominate a deserving entity for the 2025 awards can do so through the official websites of Bristol, Virginia—www.bristolva.org, and Bristol, Tennessee—www.bristoltn.org. Circumstances permitting, the award ceremony for the 2025 awards is also expected to be a grand event.
