Three Severely Injured in Head-on Collision in Kingsport

A horrific accident in Kingsport, involving a head-on collision between two vehicles, led to the hospitalization of three people with significant injuries on Friday afternoon.

Sudden Crash on W Stone Drive

According to Kingsport Police, the accident occurred around 2:50 p.m. on W Stone Drive near Teasel Drive, with the involved vehicles being a Nissan Rogue and a Chevrolet Silverado. The Nissan Rogue was reported to be moving east on the road while the Chevrolet Silverado was heading in the opposite direction.

In an unfortunate succession of events, the Chevrolet Silverado veered from its initial course towards the left and caused a head-on collision with the oncoming Nissan Rogue. It’s currently unclear what caused the Chevrolet to swerve into the approaching traffic, and investigations are underway.

Injured Transported from Scene

Emergency services arrived on the scene promptly, dealing with a severely damaged Nissan and a Chevrolet with substantial front-end damage. The drivers of both vehicles, alongside a passenger in the Nissan Rogue, sustained severe injuries.
