For those who don’t know, this beloved spot is located right next to the old train along Highway 19E, and it’s one of the community’s favorite hangout spots.

What Happened?

As many of you remember, Hurricane Helene rolled through not too long ago and caused quite the mess, leaving Harmon Park in a state of disrepair. Trees were downed, pathways were damaged, and a whole lot of cleanup was needed. It was quite the sight, and not in a good way. But fear not! Our dedicated Parks and Recreation maintenance crews sprang into action.

Hard Work Pays Off

The city has reported that the maintenance crews put in an incredible 200 hours of hard work to help restore the park to its former glory. That’s a lot of labor and dedication! From clearing debris to repairing trails and fixing up equipment, these teams have gone above and beyond to ensure that we can all return to enjoy the beautiful park we know and love.

  • Picnic Spots: The picnic areas have been cleaned and are waiting for you to pack your favorite snacks and enjoy a delightful meal in the sunny outdoors.

Join the Celebration!
