Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol Achieves Record-Breaking Revenues in Inaugural Month

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol Breaks Records

Bristol, Va. — Exciting news from the *Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol*! In just its transitional first few weeks of operation, the casino has broken previous gaming revenue records, bringing a wave of excitement to the city and surrounding areas. November brought in an astonishing $18.07 million in adjusted gaming revenues, smashing the previous record of $16.27 million set back in March 2024. Quite the sensational start for the new establishment!

A Snapshot of November’s Success

The impressive figures are attributed to a combination of cash flowing through the temporary casino and the shiny new Hard Rock venue. The temporary Bristol Casino operated from November 1 until the early hours of November 11; however, that’s not all! The grand opening for the full Hard Rock casino took place at noon on November 14, and can you believe it? During the opening weekend alone, the property attracted over 58,000 guests. By the end of the month, that number increased to over 100,000 visitors!

What’s even more fascinating is the Virginia Lottery, which oversees gaming in the state, has yet to provide a detailed breakdown of revenues generated specifically by the two different casinos. However, what we do know is that the 1,408 slot machines at the new Hard Rock generated an incredible $15.5 million in revenue for November, setting a new local record beyond the previous $13.28 million from August 2024.

Table Games and Future Plans

As for table games, they contributed $2.56 million to the overall November revenue; though this was slightly shy of the record $3.15 million established in July 2024. There’s also exciting news ahead: the space once taken by the former Bristol Casino is undergoing a transition into a *non-smoking gaming area and poker room*, expected to open its doors in early 2025. Now that’s something to look forward to!

Impact on Local Economy

The combined performance of November has also set a record for *gaming tax revenue*. Bristol is set to get a whopping $3.25 million in taxes, surpassing the previous high of $2.92 million reported in March 2024. A portion of that, $1.08 million, will be directed to the *Regional Improvement Commission* to be wisely divided among localities in *Southwest Virginia*. The previous record? More than $976,000 in March 2024 — so it’s safe to say local officials are pleased!

Virginia’s Gaming Revenue Overview

Let’s zoom out a little. Virginia’s three casinos collectively reported an impressive $63.57 million in adjusted gaming revenue for November, with nearly $48 million coming in from slots and $15.69 million from table games, according to the latest lottery report. Furthermore, they generated around $13.3 million in taxes for the state, which is likely to have a positive ripple effect on the local economy. Notably, $1.8 million of that will find its way back to the city of Portsmouth, while $1.3 million benefits the city of Danville.

To add to the buzz, the Rivers Casino in Portsmouth reported $25.7 million in adjusted gaming revenue, including $17.8 million from its slots and $7.8 million from table games. And don’t forget about the temporary Danville Casino, which pulled in $19.77 million, showcasing the thriving entertainment industry in the region!

Looking Ahead

The highly anticipated *Caesars Virginia Casino* is scheduled to open this Tuesday, adding even more excitement to the Bristol area’s sporting and entertainment scene. With all of this momentum, the future of gaming in Bristol and the surrounding regions looks bright!

So, whether you’re a seasoned gambler or just looking for a fun night out, the *Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol* seems to be the place to be these days.
