Bristol, Tenn. – In a significant move to enhance the accessibility and delivery of behavioral health services, Frontier Health has just inaugurated a brand new facility on Volunteer Parkway. This latest addition is set to consolidate various services, previously scattered across three locations in Bristol, under one roof.
The newly opened venue offers a holistic range of services that cater to different aspects of behavioral and mental health. People who walk through its doors can expect to find therapy, peer support, psychosocial rehab, children’s services, medication management, and case management services all in one place. According to Kristie Hammonds, CEO of Frontier Health, this centralization will significantly ease the process for families seeking help.
“This is more than just a building; it represents our dedication to making behavioral health services more accessible to the community. Families no longer need to navigate between multiple locations; everything they need is right here,” Hammonds said during the opening ceremony.
Securing the infrastructure was no small feat, and it was made possible by a generous $6 million grant from the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. “When we received this infrastructure grant, it turned a long-held dream into reality. The funding allowed us to put the bricks and mortar together for this incredible facility,” Hammonds added.
Marie Williams, Commissioner of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, echoed this sentiment, adding, “Frontier is one of the best providers you’ll find in the entire state. When we allocate funds, especially significant amounts like this, to organizations led by folks like Kristie Hammonds, we know that the money is being put to the best possible use.”
The all-new facility is officially open and ready to serve the community of Bristol. For residents seeking information or assistance, Frontier Health now offers a one-stop shop for all behavioral health needs.
