The Carter County Sheriff’s Office recently reported a significant number of arrests made in the first half of February 2024. This roundup includes arrests for violations such as failure to appear, probation violation, and public intoxication.
On Valentine’s Day, Deputy Kevin Kemp arrested Herbert Allen Regalado at the Washington County Detention Center. The arrest was prompted by an active warrant issued by the General Sessions Court of Carter County for alleged probation violation. Regalado was transported to the Carter County Detention Center after the arrest.
One day earlier, Lt. Christopher Peek took Christopher Lloyd Owens into custody at the intersection of Highway 19E and Bunker Hill Road. Owens’ arrest stemmed from an active warrant for failure to appear from the Carter County General Sessions Court and he was ultimately transported to the county’s Detention Center. In addition, Shannon L. Sheets was arrested on the same day following an investigative response to an alleged assault report on Davis Hollow Road. Sheets’ arrest was due to an active warrant for failure to appear.
In the preceding days, several other individuals were arrested on various charges. These included Julie H. Whitehead, Richard Scott Smalling, David Matthew Luckett, Sara Leann Julian, and Brandon Clarence Eklund. Their arrests ranged from contempt to violation of probation charges.
On February 7, Crystal Marie Peterson-Maple was taken into custody for failure to appear, while Gregory Lynn Carnett and Lori Ann Gobble were transferred to the Carter County Detention Center on multiple warrants. The following day, February 6, other arrests included Brandon M. Ingram, David Riddle, and Rebecca Anna Sue Clawson.
It is crucial to remember that every individual taken into custody is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These arrest reports are part of law enforcement’s ongoing effort to ensure public safety.
The Carter County Sheriff’s Office continues to enforce the law diligently, ensuring that individuals with outstanding warrants are duly processed. Further updates of arrests will be reported as they are carried out.
