This past Saturday morning, families flocked to the Johnson City Public Library for a delightful celebration of love during their monthly Family Storytime event. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of heart-shaped decorations as parents and kids enjoyed a morning that was about more than just reading books—it was a chance for families to come together and make memories.
The Family Storytime session, lasting just half an hour, packs a punch of fun and engagement. Led by one of the library’s talented Children’s Librarians, the session includes a magical mix of activities such as reading captivating books, singing cheerful songs, and even doing a fun craft that ties in with the day’s theme. This vibrant mix of activities fosters a love for books among young readers while also giving parents and caregivers a chance to bond with their children.
In honor of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the session was creatively themed to bring a sense of joy and love to the library.
