Blountville is buzzing with excitement as the Entertainment Technology program of Northeast State Community College gears up for its much-anticipated fall concert series. The series kicks off on October 17 at 7 p.m. with a performance by Adrian Bundy and His Honky Tonk Hearts, who are set to deliver a night filled with classic country music.
For those who might not know Adrian Bundy, he’s a genuine honky-tonk crooner hailing from Johnson City. His music is heavily inspired by some of the greats of country music, including legends like Merle Haggard, George Jones, and George Strait. Fans of classic country will feel right at home with Bundy’s sound, which weaves tales of love, heartache, and good times.
During his performance, concertgoers can look forward to a mix of upbeat honky-tonk tracks and emotional ballads. Be prepared to tap your feet and, if the moment strikes, maybe shed a tear as he sings heartfelt tunes. It’s all part of the experience that makes country music resonate with so many.
Adrian isn’t just performing here; he’s been around! He has graced stages at venues like The Nashville Palace and The Troubadour, not to mention his performances at the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion and famous spots in Texas like Gruene Hall and The Continental Club. His dedication to his craft shines through every note, and audiences have been loving every minute of it.
Beyond his music career, Adrian showcased his talent in the short film “Neon Shadows”, where he plays an up-and-coming country music singer. The film made waves at the Film Fest Knox held at the Regal Riviera in Knoxville last November, proving that he’s a multifaceted artist ready to take on new challenges.
Mark your calendars! The performance will take place in the Entertainment Technology Sound and Lighting Lab located in Room O58 of the Technical Education Complex, conveniently situated next to the Tri-Cities Airport. And here’s the best part: admission is free! Yes, you read that correctly. You can enjoy live music without reaching for your wallet. It’s a superb opportunity for music lovers, families, and anyone looking for a delightful evening out.
The concerts are produced by Northeast State Entertainment Technology students, giving them hands-on experience in organizing live music events while bringing high-quality entertainment to the community. The lineup is designed to appeal to a wide audience, featuring a variety of genres and styles.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Whether you’re a lifelong country fan or someone looking to discover new music, this series promises a mix of heartwarming and lively performances. Get your friends together, grab a seat, and enjoy a night of fantastic music.
