Hey Elizabethton! Are you ready for a fun and active week? The Elizabethton Senior Center, located at 428 East G Street, has packed its schedule with various activities to keep you moving, engaged, and connected with your community from Monday, November 18 through Friday, November 22. Let’s dive into what’s happening this week!
The center opens its doors Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. You can drop by anytime; the billiard room and fitness room are available for everyone who wants to use them – no appointments necessary!
Start your week with a bang on Monday! At 9 a.m., join the Just Keep Movin’ cardio, toning, and strength-building group session. Nothing feels better than breaking a sweat with good company!
After that, grab a delicious lunch featuring Breaded Chicken Tenders at 11 a.m.. Tummies will be happy! If you’ve signed up in advance, enjoy relaxing massages hosted by Yoga Farm at 12 p.m.. Then, at 12:15 p.m., take a breather with Chair Yoga led by instructor Shirley Gomillian for just $3! And don’t miss the Gentle Flow Yoga with Cindy Brugnoletti following that session.
On Tuesday, the fun continues! Lunch will be a hearty plate of Spaghetti with Meat Sauce at 11 a.m.. Get ready to strut your stuff in the Line Dancing class from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.. With Sharon Pilk as your instructor for just $3, you’ll leave the class smiling and energized!
Midweek magic happens on Wednesday. Start your day again with Just Keep Movin’ at 9 a.m. and then unwind with Qigong at 10 a.m. for $3. Lunch calls with a juicy Chicken Patty at 11 a.m.. Afterward, enjoy more chair yoga and gentle flow yoga to remain stretched and relaxed!
Thursday brings the Brain-Body-Boost fitness class at 11 a.m., which is absolutely free! It’s the perfect chance to engage in your physical and mental health. After lunch of Beefy Vegetable Soup, the Fundraising Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m.. Your ideas and support could really help the center thrive!
Finally, we wrap up the week with Just Keep Movin’ once more on Friday at 9 a.m.. After that, it’s Bingo time starting at 10 a.m. with a special host from Oasis Senior Advisors, which is sure to bring loads of laughter and fun. And what’s for lunch? Delicious Breaded Fish with Tartar Sauce served at 11 a.m..
