Exciting Activities Await at the Elizabethton Senior Center This Week!

Are you ready for another fun and engaging week at the Elizabethton Senior Center? Located at 428 East G Street, this friendly hub has a variety of activities lined up for seniors from October 28 to November 1. Whether you are looking to get moving, enjoy some delicious meals, or connect with others in the community, there’s something for everyone!

Center Hours

The Elizabethton Senior Center is open Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. You’ll find it easy to drop in! Plus, the billiard room and fitness room are available for use without needing to make any appointments.

Weekly Schedule of Activities

Let’s take a look at what’s happening each day:

Monday, October 28
  • Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building – Group Led at 9 a.m.
  • Lunch – Enjoy a hearty Spaghetti & Meat Sauce meal at 11 a.m.
  • Chair Yoga – Join instructor Shirley Gomillian for relaxing yoga at just $3 at 12:15 p.m.
  • Gentle Flow Yoga – Follow instructor Cindy Brugnoletti for more yoga at $3.
Tuesday, October 29
  • Tai Chi – Join the Arthritis Program through UT Extension at 10 a.m.
  • Lunch – Enjoy Oven Fried Chicken at 11 a.m.
  • Line Dancing – Dance along with instructor Shirley Pilk at noon for $3.
Wednesday, October 30
  • Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building – Group Led at 9 a.m.
  • Qigong with Adina at 10 a.m., just $3.
  • Lunch – Dive into a Hamburger at 11 a.m.
  • Chair Yoga – Relax with Shirley Gomillian at 12:15 p.m. for $3.
  • Gentle Flow Yoga – Another session with Cindy Brugnoletti at $3.
Thursday, October 31
  • Brain-Body-Boost Fitness Class – Don’t miss this free session from 10-11 a.m.
  • Lunch – Savory Chili Mac Casserole at 11 a.m.
  • Fundraising Committee Meeting – Join us for some discussion over coffee and sweets at 12:30 p.m.
Friday, November 1
  • Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building – Group Led at 9 a.m.
  • Let’s Play Bingo at 10 a.m. – Come have fun and win some prizes!
  • Lunch – Finish the week off right with a Grilled Chicken Breast meal at 11 a.m.

Volunteer Opportunities

Have some free time and a desire to help? The center is currently seeking volunteers to assist with home-delivered meals. If you’re interested in giving back to the community, call 543-4255 to find out more.
