Elizabethton Senior Center: A Week Full of Fun and Activities!

Hey there, Elizabethton! Are you ready for a week filled with excitement and community spirit at the Elizabethton Senior Center? Whether you’re interested in fitness, socializing, or simply enjoying a delicious meal, there’s something for everyone from September 23rd to September 27th. Let’s dive into this week’s schedule!

Monday: Kickstart Your Week

On Monday, we’re starting things off with the “Just Keep Movin’” class, which will get your heart pumping with cardio, toning, and strength building from 9 a.m.. Feeling hungry? Don’t miss out on our lunch special – Oven Fried Chicken Breast served at 11 a.m.. After lunch, stretch it out with Chair Yoga led by the talented Shirley Gomillian at 12:15 p.m., followed by the Gentle Flow Yoga class with Cindy Brugnoletti. Both yoga sessions only cost $3!

Tuesday: A Fun Day to Remember

Unfortunately, our Tai Chi Class is canceled for this Tuesday, September 24th, but don’t worry – there’s still plenty to enjoy! Lunch will feature a tasty Chili Dog at 11 a.m.. Then, shake off the Tuesday blues with some Line Dancing at 12 p.m. led by our fabulous instructor Sharon Pilk. It’s a great way to get moving and meet new friends!

Wednesday: Midweek Motivation

On Wednesday, we’ll be back with our popular “Just Keep Movin’” class at 9 a.m. to keep you energized. Following that, join our Women’s Bible Study focusing on First John at 11 a.m.. Lunch will be served right after with a delicious Pizza Casserole. After refueling, we’ll have the Chair Yoga class at 12:15 p.m., followed again by Gentle Flow Yoga.

Thursday: Safety First!

Thursday is a special day at the Center! From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., we’re hosting a CarFit Event. This fantastic program helps seniors adjust their car settings to drive comfortably and safely, in partnership with the SALT Council and the Carter County Sheriff’s Department. Stop by for this valuable service! Lunch for the day will be a fresh Tuna Salad on Lettuce served at 11 a.m.. Later, we invite anyone interested to join our Fundraising Committee Meeting at 12:30 p.m.. Enjoy some delicious donuts and coffee while you discuss community efforts!

Friday: Let’s Celebrate!

Finally, Friday is here, and that means Birthday Bingo sponsored by the Women’s Civic Club of Elizabethton kicks off at 10 a.m.. Join us for some fun and prizes! For lunch, we’re serving Beefy Goulash at 11 a.m. – a perfect way to wrap up the week!
