In a recent series of events, the Elizabethton Police Department has reported the arrest of multiple individuals on diverse charges spanning falsification of drug tests, public intoxication, evading arrest, and possession of methamphetamine. These arrests, spread across several dates, were reported by different police officers and investigators tackling various incidents within the community.
Detailed Reports
April 17 – Officer Samuel Woodby was called upon to handle a disturbance case at 841 West Elk Ave. Upon arrival, Kathy Sue Lingerfelt was found to be highly agitated. The officer’s investigations led to Lingerfelt’s arrest on three counts: public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
April 16 – Corporal Tim Garland responded to a case at 100 Parkway Blvd. involving the falsification of a drug test. The offender, Jacob T. Carty, was cited as a result.
April 15 – Officer Nicholas Kerns apprehended Leonard A. Price after a vehicle theft incident. The ensuing chase resulted in a foot pursuit that concluded with Price’s arrest in the middle of the river. Future investigations will be undertaken by Investigator Maney.
April 14 – An instance of public intoxication at 781 West Elk Ave led to an arrest by Officer Samuel Woodby. The offender, identified as Jonathan Michael Cook, was taken into custody after reports of disorderly conduct.
April 13 – Officer James Deese detained Joshua Scott Johnson at 215 Broad St. for evading and resisting an arrest.
April 12 – A case of falsified drug testing was reported by Captain Matt Croy at 100 A Parkway Blvd. The involved party, Martin Taylor Acosta, is being further investigated.
April 11 – Corporal Mosier and Sergeant Johnson cooperatively made an arrest at 419 West Elk Ave. The arrestee, Gary Franklin Fletcher, was taken into custody on accounts of violating his probation.
