Ken Bates, the owner of another Eggs Up Grill in Johnson City, Tennessee, plans to helm the new venture. With strong ties to the Tri-Cities community and having been born and raised in Kingsport, Bates felt the expansion into Bristol, Virginia, was a natural move.
“I was born and raised in Kingsport. The Tri-Cities are my home,” Bates expressed. “I’ve had ties to Bristol and Johnson City over the years, and we’re just looking forward to serving the Tri-Cities community in general.”
Bates hopes that the imminent opening of the Bristol casino will further help boost the local economy and believes that the arrival of Eggs Up Grill in the vicinity will only enhance the overall experience for both locals and visitors.
The restaurant is designed with a bright and cosy atmosphere, to make guests feel at home. The menu features a broad range of dishes to cater to a variety of tastes – from eggs and toast, waffles, signature omelets, to biscuits and gravy. Other options including lunch items like hamburgers can be ordered at any time of day.
“You can get breakfast at two o’clock in the afternoon, or you can get a hamburger at six in the morning,” Bates said. Notable menu items include the founder’s recipe corned beef hash with potatoes, onions and special spices. For those seeking traditional fare, Eggs Up Grill offers up classics such as its made-to-order omelets, buttery grilled blueberry muffins, and lunch selections including burgers, melts, salads and more.
The arrival of Eggs Up Grill in Bristol, Virginia is part of a larger strategy to expand its presence nationwide. Currently, the chain boasts of 73 locations across the United States, with plans to reach the milestone of 100 locations by the end of the year. The expansive 4,160 square-foot Bristol restaurant will feature seating for 130 guests along with a 16-seat private dining room for large groups or community gatherings, affectionately named “The Coop”.
Guests in Bristol will be able to dine-in, place online orders, or opt for takeout, catering, and delivery options. Serving up a wholesome dining experience, Eggs Up Grill in Bristol will be open seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
