David found himself in quite the predicament when he started his journey. Interstate 26 was riddled with detours, and soon enough, his plans took a detour of their own. After navigating through countless twists and turns, he was finally greeted with the message from a state trooper around 2 a.m. that all roads into Tennessee were impassible.

A Father’s Determination

But David wasn’t about to let anything stand in his way. With his daughter’s wedding scheduled for 11:00 AM, he was determined to walk her down the aisle. “You have to understand. My daughter’s getting married, and I’m going to be there,” he passionately told the officer.
