Crossroads Craftworks Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The city center of Elizabethton/Carter County recently saw a burst of creativity and artistry with the grand opening of Crossroads Craftworks. The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Main Street Elizabethton, co-hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark this momentous occasion.

An Inviting Space of Creativity and Artistry

Located at 411 E. Doe Avenue in the heart of downtown Elizabethton, the newly launched Crossroads Craftworks positions itself as an inspiring hub for artists and hobbyists alike. This unique space offers a vast variety of art workshops, maker’s markets, and an assortment of classes, including the riveting art of blacksmithing.

A Celebration of Local Talent

“We’re thrilled to highlight the remarkable artists, crafters, and makers in our community. Meet them and support them directly at our markets. Experience their work in our gallery and showroom. Learn from them and explore your own creativity at our classes and workshops. We invite you to join us in celebrating the talent and beauty found in our region!” exuded an enthusiastic Tony Oliver, the proprietor of Crossroads Craftworks.

Empowering Local Artists

The sentiment was echoed by Joy McCray, Executive Director of the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce, who lauded the establishment’s commitment to local artists. She warmly invited the community to visit and admire the unique crafts, “Stop in and check out all the treasures at Crossroads Craftworks for the perfect gift for a friend, or yourself,” McCray said.

Fostering Artistic Growth

Oliver’s venture also found supporters in Main Street Elizabethton Director, Courtney Bean. She celebrated their addition to the town’s vibrant art scene, “Downtown already has a strong art presence, so it’s wonderful to see a space that is centered around creativity while also providing avenues to learn and grow,” Bean stated with delight.

Join The Celebration

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, April 19, at 2 p.m. The entire community is warmly invited to partake in this joyous occasion and show support for local talent. Attendees will be able to explore the various offerings of Crossroads Craftworks and even sign up for some of their workshops.
