Johnson City Partners with Salvation Army to Provide Christmas Joy for Local Children

Johnson City Gears Up for a Joyful Christmas Season!

As the holiday season approaches, the heartwarming spirit of giving is already buzzing in Johnson City. This year, a magical partnership is shimmering brighter than the twinkling lights that will soon adorn homes throughout the community. The Salvation Army of Johnson City has teamed up with Century 21 Legacy to ensure that over 75 deserving children will find gifts waiting for them on Christmas morning.

A Tradition of Generosity

Every year, this collaboration brings so much joy to children in need, and it’s evident that the employees at Century 21 Legacy relish this opportunity. Anna Harrell, the principal broker for the agency, expressed her excitement in a recent message: “This is our favorite opportunity each year and we are excited to partner again this Christmas season.” Nothing warms the heart quite like seeing the smiles on children’s faces when they open their gifts!

On a bustling Friday morning, the Century 21 team took a field trip to the local Walmart, ready to shop for the children they’ve committed to supporting. Armed with their lists and a sprinkle of festive cheer, their enthusiasm for the cause could be felt in every aisle.

Calling All Elves!

The Salvation Army is inviting everyone—businesses, groups, places of worship, or just kind-hearted individuals—to step up and adopt children this holiday season. Major Maureen Diffley, the corps officer for the Salvation Army, emphasized the massive impact that businesses like Century 21 have on the community. “We are so grateful to Century 21 Legacy for being exceptionally generous and making a big impact to help us ensure that all 943 children are able to receive gifts that make the holidays extra special,” she noted.

The involvement of local companies not only fosters holiday cheer but also creates wonderful opportunities for team building within workplaces. Giving back to the community while celebrating the festive season creates camaraderie that extends beyond the office walls!
