Elizabethton Invites Community to Heartwarming Christmas Concert on December 2nd

Elizabethton Gets Ready for a Heartwarming Christmas Concert

Get into the festive spirit, Elizabethton! On Monday, December 2nd, the Elizabethton Choral Club is putting on a Christmas concert that you won’t want to miss. The event will take place at First Baptist Church, located at 212 East F St., with the show starting at 7 p.m. It promises to be a night full of joyful sounds and holiday cheer!

Weather Woes? No Problem!

Now, nobody wants a little rain or snow to ruin their holiday plans, right? If the weather decides to act up, the concert will be postponed to a later date: Monday, December 16th. So keep your fingers crossed for clear skies, and let’s hope for a dry and delightful evening.

What’s on the Musical Menu?

This year, the choral club has prepared a fantastic repertoire that includes traditional and beloved pieces. You’ll hear the cheerful notes of John Rutter’s spirited “Rejoice and Be Merry” and the reflective “I Too Shall Walk to Bethlehem.” And let’s not forget the enchanting “Wexford Carol”! You’ll also enjoy the soothing sounds of “In the Bleak Midwinter” and the classic “The First Noel” by Dan Forest.

But wait! There’s more! The evening will include a lovely singalong where everyone is invited to join in and create a festive atmosphere. So, warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing your heart out!

Who’s Leading the Celebration?

The concert will be led by the talented Debbie Gouge as the director, with the musical accompaniment of the wonderful Susan Heaton. Together, they create a harmonious blend that captivates the audience. Joining them will be the First United Methodist handbell choir, aptly named Small But Mighty, who will join in for the concert’s grand finale. This adds an extra layer of excitement to the event!

Instrumental Duets to Delight

Expect some special instrumental performances as well! A delightful duet by Susan Heaton and Scott Reynolds will grace the stage, promising to showcase some incredible musical talent. Their dynamic performance is sure to leave you in awe!

A Gift to the Community

This holiday concert isn’t just about the music; it’s also about community spirit! This free concert serves as a musical gift to Elizabethton, and everyone is sincerely invited. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and celebrate the season. There’s no ticket required, just bring your holiday spirit and enjoy the magic of music!

Mark Your Calendars!

So circle that date on your calendar and remind your friends! The Elizabethton Choral Club’s Christmas concert is bound to be a joy-filled event that captures the essence of the holiday season. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, this concert is the perfect way to get into the festive mood.

Remember, if the weather doesn’t cooperate on December 2nd, you can still catch the concert on December 16th. Either way, don’t miss out on this opportunity to create wonderful memories with your community. We can’t wait to see you there!
