In a series of recent apprehensions, the Carter County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests. These varied events involved different officers working diligently to enforce law and order within the area.
Among the arrested individuals was one James Thomas Hagan who had violated his probation. On March 31, he was caught by Deputy Justin Ludlow in conjunction with the Johnson City Police Department. The offender was arrested smoothly and later relocated to the Carter County Detention Center.
Further on the same date, Laycee D. Jenkins was apprehended for instigating a domestic assault case that transpired on Old Lewis Road. This arrest was carried out by Sgt. Justin Johnson after confirming Jenkins to be the primary culprit. Jenkins now faces aggravated domestic assault charges.
Keeping up the rigor of law enforcement, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Lorie Kay Hayes for her absence at Wiseman’s. This incident took place on March 30, with Lt. Christopher Peek conducting the arrest in coordination with the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office.
Independently, Deputy Brett Butler made an arrest on Charles David Price on the same day. Price, found near Highway 19E and Highway 321, was apprehended for violating his probation and providing false reports.
Also on March 30, Cpl. Cody Perkins executed an arrest on defense of another state’s law. Brandon Keith Ollis was charged due to an outstanding extradition warrant from McDowell County, N.C.
Another notable arrest came on March 29, as inmate Steven Schultz was put under charges by Cpl. Cody Perkins following a fire alarm investigation at the facility. Schultz was charged with vandalism while at the Carter County Detention Center.
Continuing the trend, on March 28, Deputy D. McCloud apprehended Alan Dean Pearson for driving in the wrong direction on the junction of Highway 19E and Highway 321. Pearson is now under charges for driving under influence and possession of suboxone.
It should be remembered that all of these individuals are technically innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
