Disaster Resource Centers Open for Business
First things first, if you need some on-the-ground assistance, the Disaster Resource Centers (DRCs) are open and ready to help! These centers are your go-to spots for support, operating Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Don’t hesitate to swing by; our amazing teams are there to lend a hand!
Don’t Miss Out on Debris Cleanup
Got some storm debris? The lovely folks at the Tennessee Forestry Resources team are gearing up for their final debris pickups from December 2 to December 13. To request a debris pickup, just shoot an email to debris@cartercountytn.gov. And if you prefer, you can drop off your storm-related debris at the Carter County Landfill at no cost. Just remember to bring along proof of residency. Let’s keep our beautiful community clean!
Health is Wealth: Free Vaccinations Available
To keep everyone healthy during this recovery period, the Carter County Health Department is rolling out free immunizations! Residents can get their Tdap, Hepatitis A, and flu vaccines without any charge. You can walk in anytime from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 400 E. G St., Elizabethton. It’s a great opportunity, especially for those of you getting back into cleanup mode. Remember, if you have any open wounds, steer clear of floodwaters to minimize infection risks!
