In the bustling city of Bristol, Tennessee, local schools are celebrating some fantastic news! A Grades Galore!

Let’s start with the highlights! Bristol Tennessee City Schools (BTCS) is truly standing out this year, having earned prestigious grades. In fact, they are one of only 11 districts across the state to have achieved all A and B results. Six schools, including Avoca Elementary, Haynesfield Elementary, Holston View Elementary, Tennessee Middle, Tennessee High, and Tennessee Online Public School, proudly received an A. Meanwhile, Anderson Elementary and Fairmount Elementary were awarded a solid B.

Reward Schools Making a Difference

But that’s not all—four BTCS schools have now been designated as Reward Schools by the state. This distinction is the highest honor a school can earn in Tennessee, recognizing outstanding growth and achievement in education. The lucky schools earning this title are Avoca Elementary, Haynesfield Elementary, Tennessee Middle, and Tennessee Online Public School.

Each of these schools has demonstrated exceptional performance based on various criteria, including overall achievement, student growth, graduation rates, and more. It’s wonderful to see the dedication of teachers and students shining through!

Looking Beyond Bristol

Bristol isn’t alone in this exciting news. Just a short drive away, Kingsport City Schools also have reasons to celebrate. Adams Elementary and Jefferson Elementary have been recognized as Reward Schools based on their performance in the 2022-23 TCAP assessment. It’s inspiring to see the collective efforts of the Northeast Tennessee education community yielding such positive results!

And let’s not forget about Johnson City Schools! They’re making waves, too, with seven schools being named among the 400 Reward Schools in the state. Schools such as Cherokee Elementary, Lake Ridge Elementary, North Side Elementary, South Side Elementary, Towne Acres Elementary, and Woodland Elementary are all part of this esteemed group.
