Exciting news for the folks in Bristol, Tennessee! On Friday, the charming town witnessed a delightful addition to its local scene with the grand opening of the Tennessee Hills Distillery. This new location is set to be the go-to spot for spirits lovers, as it promises to deliver hand-crafted small batches made right from the heart of Northeast Tennessee.
The vibes were electric at the grand opening, as the owner of the distillery, Stephen Callahan, shared his joy about the amazing turnout. “Ever since we’ve opened, business has been nonstop,” Callahan beamed, recalling the sheer volume of visitors eager to check out the new digs. He added, “We tied into the Pinnacle and the traffic that they probably normally see on Black Friday, which really helped our launch!”
The new facility is more than just a place to grab a drink; it spans two floors and features a full bar upstairs and a cozy tasting bar on the ground floor. There’s even some outdoor seating, allowing guests to sip and enjoy the beautiful mountain views that Tennessee is known for.
While the grand opening was a hit, Callahan hinted at even more excitement on the horizon. He mentioned that starting in early January, guests will get the chance to tour the facility, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how the spirits are crafted. “People will be able to come in and actually see what we do here,” he explained enthusiastically.
Among those who came out to support the new business were local residents Jamie and Nathan Jackson. They couldn’t help but admire the unique design of the distillery. “To walk in and see the bourbon barrel lights and just all of the ways that they incorporated their product into the decor was amazing,” Jamie shared excitedly. “The space has such a large feel to it. We were really impressed, and I can’t wait to bring more friends here!”
What’s a grand opening without free samples? Guests enjoyed complimentary tastings of the distillery’s local flavors, which included specialties like S.E. Callahan’s Bourbon, Lemon Drop, and Tiramisu Cream. To spice up the celebration, the distillery also provided BBQ from their Smokestillery smoker. The ribs were such a hit that they sold out halfway through the event!
“It’s amazing the power of the Tennessee Hills brand,” said Callahan. “When people get behind you and support you, it’s clear that we’re doing something very special as a company.”
If you missed out on the grand opening, don’t worry! The celebration will continue this weekend for Small Business Saturday. Tennessee Hills Distillery will keep its doors open late at both its Bristol and Jonesborough locations, operating until 11 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.
So, if you’re looking for a fun night out or a new spot to enjoy local spirits, why not visit the new Tennessee Hills Distillery at 90 Tennessee Hills Way? With its amazing atmosphere and handcrafted offerings, it’s bound to be a hit with everyone!
