Born on September 11, 1933, Ella came into the world as a daughter to Harvey Louthen and Ella Harris Louthen. She made a name for herself early on as a Marion High School graduate before setting down roots in the Bristol area in 1958. Ella was the kind of person who made a lasting impression, not only through her words but also through her generous acts.
A Legacy of Service and Kindness
Ella Jane Parker was synonymous with kindness. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to serving others, often seen sharing her delicious baked goods or ensuring friends and family always had enough food to eat. It was these simple acts of love that defined who she was and fostered a sense of community everywhere she went. A steadfast wife for an incredible 66 years, Ella was married to Earnest Ted Parker, who sadly passed before her. Together, they shared countless memories and a deep devotion that inspired others.
She also faced loss with grace, having been preceded in death by four brothers: Harold, Roscoe, Jim, and Donald, along with four sisters: Irene, Maryland, Lorrain, and Marie. But through it all, Ella focused on her family. She leaves behind her four sons: David (married to Debbie), Tom (married to Susan), Doug (married to Cynthia), and Jeff (married to Nancy). Her family means everything to her, and this is evident in her glorious legacy.
Grandkids and Great-Grandkids Galore
Ella’s legacy continues to thrive through her adoring family. She is a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandmother to twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, showcasing the immense love and bonds she created throughout her lifetime.
Farewell to a Remarkable Woman
The community is invited to join together to honor and remember this remarkable woman. A funeral service is set to take place at West Hills Baptist Church on Saturday, April 5, 2025, starting at 11 am. Friends and loved ones can pay their respects from 10 am to 11 am prior to the service. Following the service, Ella will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery, with her sons proudly serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, her family respectfully requests donations to the West Hills Baptist Church Missionary Fund, where Ella was an active member, or to the Tri-State Baptist Children’s Home, which holds a special place in the hearts of her family. Arrangements are managed by Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
