24th Anniversary of Border Bash Celebrations in Downtown Bristol
Residents in Bristol, Tennessee, and Virginia are set to celebrate the 24th anniversary of Border Bash with an exciting summer concert series. The music festival, which regularly attracts whopping crowds, is scheduled to hold between June 7 and August 9 on State Street.
A Variety of Performances in Store
Coordinated by Believe in Bristol, this year’s Border Bash lineup includes performances from popular bands such as Dangermuffin, SCYTHIAN, AJ Smith, Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels, the Jon Stickley Trio, and many more.
The opening night of the event will witness Dangermuffin, the headliner for the night, and Andrew Scotchie, the opener, take to the stage. Other soirées in the summer concert series include a special Star-Spangled July 4th Border Bash event in Anderson Park that will feature band performances from SCYTHIAN and Bristol Lightning.
Creating Lasting Memories
Described by Believe in Bristol’s press release as an event “about fun, family, great music, and creating memories to last a lifetime,” Border Bash is more than just a music festival. The event promises a fun-filled experience for both adults and kids alike.
From a range of children’s activities to numerous local arts and craft vendors, food trucks, and live music, there is something in store for everyone. The event will rotate venues along State Street for attendees to enjoy different surroundings at different times. All these come cost-free as the celebration has been a free summer concert series since its inception in 2000.
Anticipation is High Among Organizers
Maggie Elliott, the Executive Director of Believe in Bristol, couldn’t contain her excitement about this year’s lineup, especially with the inclusion of local and regional talent. She hinted that the music festival is more than just bringing the community together in the summer months. It allows the organization to showcase Bristol’s rich culture and history similarly.
“Believe in Bristol is proud to have brought this event to the community for more than twenty years, and we’re thrilled to continue bringing live music to our community in historic Downtown Bristol,” Elliott said.
