Bonnie Kate Theater launches ‘Leave A Legacy – Name A Seat’ Campaign

A Unique Fundraising Initiative in Progress

In an eccentric effort to raise funds, the Bonnie Kate Theater in Elizabethton, a charming city in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, has launched an inventive fundraising campaign, ‘Leave A Legacy – Name A Seat’. This innovative initiative provides an opportunity for fans of the historic theater to leave a lasting mark amidst the theater’s legacy, just as it readies itself for extensive renovations.

The Concept Behind the Campaign

The theater’s administrative body, the Friends of the Bonnie Kate, under the leadership of president Kathy Campbell, come up with this unique fundraising plan. As part of their renovation strategy, and to raise additional funds, the theater will install approximately 225 new seats, all of which can be named by the contributors. The only catch – each seat comes with a $500 price tag.

Branded Seats and More

However, the price per seat, apart from a name-tag, will also bring forth another perk for the donors. A 1-1/2” x 3” engraved metal plate on the back of each seat will be made to include a name, phrase, date, special occasion or any word of the donor’s choosing, subject to the approval by the Bonnie Kate Theater. This honor will be cemented with a special “seating chart” in the lobby of the theater, which will proudly bear the names of the imprints supporting the noble cause.

The Peculiar Gala – ‘Meet Your Seat’

Apart from being part of the legacy, seat sponsors will be special guests at a distinct “Meet Your Seat” gala that will be scheduled once the renovations are completed. It is positioned as a program which can involve oneself or even be gifted to loved ones, to celebrate a momentous occasion, a memory or even to honor someone. Kathy Campbell, also emphasized that it serves as an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to assert their place in the community.

Terms and Conditions

The theater, showing cognizance of equitable distribution, has kept a per-individual limit for seat naming- only 10 seats per individual, business or organization will be allowed. All the sponsorship naming will follow a first-come, first-served basis. However, it should be noted that seat sponsorship does not equate with reserving the seat itself for shows and performances. On a brighter note, all seat sponsorships will be tax deductible and proceeds exceeding the seat cost and installation will assist in capital improvements at the Bonnie Kate Theater.

Get Involved in the Legacy

For those interested to be part of the “Leave A Legacy – Name A Seat” initiative, more details along with answers to frequently asked questions can be obtained from the Bonnie Kate Theater’s official website under the “Get Involved” button. Any concerns or queries can also be addressed through a call at the theater’s helpdesk or through email correspondence.

This is an exceptional opportunity to savor the pride of being a crucial part of a historic theater’s journey, and leaving an enduring legacy in the heart of Elizabethton.
