Black Friday 2024 Sparks Unforgettable Shopping Excitement in Kingsport

KINGSPORT — The Excitement of Black Friday 2024 Lingers On!

As the holiday season rolls around, shoppers in Kingsport are feeling the buzz of Black Friday 2024. It seems like the excitement is making a comeback with the kind of energy that used to fill stores years ago!

Sunny Mornings and Cloudy Afternoons

The weather that day was perfect for shopping, starting off with some bright sunshine in the morning that turned into cloudy skies in the afternoon. The high reached around a cool 39 degrees Fahrenheit, with gentle winds blowing from the WSW. While the stores were bustling with people, the cold evening hit and temperatures dipped to about 27 degrees. Shoppers were bundled up and ready to snag deals!

Deals and Thrills at Walmart

A trip to Walmart on Stone Drive in Kingsport was like stepping into a treasure trove. Cheridan Shipley couldn’t hold back her excitement as she flaunted her new Apple smartphone, which she snagged thanks to an amazing Black Friday deal. “I just had to have it, and at that price? How could I say no?” Cheridan shared.

Meanwhile, over at the Walmart on Fort Henry Drive, customers were rushing around, loading their carts with everything from televisions to toys, glancing at the neatly displayed blue jeans lined up for massive savings. “I love this time of year,” said Pam Shipley while shopping. “Sure, it’s not the old Black Friday hustle and bustle, but it’s close enough!”

Gathering Friends in Rogersville

Just a short drive away, a group of friends captured their own shopping adventure in downtown Rogersville. Nikki Collier, Mary Ann Davis, and Richmond Brickey were all smiles as they took a cell phone selfie to document their shopping spree. “Being together makes all the difference,” Nikki exclaimed, reflecting on how much fun shopping is with friends.

Belk and the Fort Henry Mall

Heading back to Kingsport, the entrance to Belk at the Fort Henry Mall was abuzz with announcements about the fantastic sales. Shoppers had plenty of options to explore, and signs advertising Black Friday deals were impossible to miss. Inside the Music Masters store, visitors were delighted to find amazing bargains on musical instruments and accessories.

As excited families strolled through the mall, some were also checking out the posted itinerary for Santa, eagerly planning their visits to make magical memories.

A New Wave of Black Friday Shopping

With the resurgence of Black Friday excitement, many are weighing in on how it has changed. “It’s not the old Black Friday. Until they get the big deals for which you have to be in-store, it’s not quite the same,” said bargain hunter Pam Shipley, highlighting the shift in shopping habits over the years.

But regardless of how different it feels, shoppers are still embracing the holiday spirit, sharing smiles, stories, and excitement over their finds. Whether it’s the thrill of finding that perfect gift or simply enjoying a day out with friends, Kingsport residents have definitely made a day of it.

Wrapping Up the Shopping Experience

As we put a bow on this year’s Black Friday, one thing is clear: the eagerness to shop is still very much alive. For the people of Kingsport, every deal discovered, every gift wrapped, and every friend met during this bustling shopping day helps them step into the festive season with optimism and cheer!
