This weekend promises to be packed with excitement as our local athletes take to the courts, mats, and tracks for a jam-packed lineup of games and matches. So, grab your pom-poms and get ready to cheer for our talented teams!
Let’s kick things off with the boys’ basketball matchups. Get ready for an electrifying clash as the Yorktown Patriots take on the defending Class 6 state champion South Lakes Seahawks. This exhilarating game is set to go down on the road at 7:30 p.m. It’s sure to be a fierce battle, so don’t miss it!

The Yorktown team will be hitting the ice against Broad Run at 9:20 p.m. at the Ashburn Ice House. Meanwhile, Bishop O’Connell faces off against Bullis at 5 p.m. at Rockville Ice Arena, and St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes will challenge Bishop O’Connell at 3:30 p.m. at MedStar Iceplex. Ice, ice, baby!
