Annual Alzheimer’s Tennessee Walk Raises Funds and Celebrates Life in Johnson City
Over the weekend, a sea of purple swept through downtown Johnson City, Tennessee. Participants from all walks of life gathered in solidarity to participate in the annual Walk to Make Alzheimer’s a Memory – a charity run organized by Alzheimer’s Tennessee.
Fund-raiser for Alzheimer’s Fight
The event, now in its annual iteration, is more than just a walk. It is a fundraiser aimed at assisting families and caregivers who are supporting a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Indeed, Alzheimer’s is a debilitating disease that affects not only the patients but also those who care for them. As expected, a majority of the partakers represented in all shades of purple – from hats and scarves to t-shirts and even purple wigs.
